'Our business goals are not our Product goals, but kind of. Our Business strategy is somewhere but we know that is not our Product strategy. So, let's do OKRs. And a Product Roadmap.'

Too many layers and overlaps, who could understand anything there?

It is normal to get confused between concepts and layers. I’ve seen too many overlaps between visions, strategies, and goals. The truth is that leaders have to come with a unified end-to-end scheme to bring clarity and focus to their companies.

Product Leaders have to work hard not to impose these methods but to understand where they fit on the overall company. Don’t just build on top, instead find the right spot. Remember, every company is different, and one of the joys of Product is the opportunity to analyse and adapt your principles to a certain context.

Product is not a copy-paste job, and we love that!
